11 March 2005 Extrication
Firefighter Scott Eaton (left) uses hydraulic spreaders to help free the occupant of this car following a collision at the intersection of Maumelle Blvd. and Bringler Dr. March 11, 2005. The hydraulic spreaders are one of three tools commonly referred to as the "Jaws of Life." These tools allow Maumelle firefighters to safely cut the car away from patients so that they can be removed from the vehicle without further injury.
