Maumelle
firefighters were met with heavy fire when they arrived at this home on Smoking
Oaks Cove shortly after midnight November 14. After searching the uninolved
parts of the residence for possible victims, crews mounted an aggressive
attack that quickly brought the fire under control.

The
fire had a significant headstart on firefighters as the first calls to Maumelle's
911 center were not received until after neighbors and passerby saw flames
shooting from the home's roof. No one was home at the residence at the time
of the fire.
