The
first engine company on the scene of this fire in a recreational vehicle
found fire and smoke showing from the passenger side wall. Firefighters quickly
knocked down the exterior flames before moving inside the smoky vehicle to
find and extinsuish the rest of the fire. Above, Volunteer Captain Ed Platt
and Captain Scott Eaton guide a hose inside the RV.

A
positive pressure fan was set up to clear the RV of smoke as firefighters
used a thermal imaging camera inside. The special camera, which is called
a TIC for short, is capable of seeing heat and measuring temperatures.
Firefighter Dustin Worlow (left) and Volunteer Engineer Andy Wood are show
above setting up the fan.

Captain
Eaton and Firefighter Worlow monitor the situation as smoke is cleared from
the RV using a fan. The positive pressure created by the fan blowing clean
air in forces smoke and other toxic air out. Because the fan is supplying
fresh air to the area previously on fire, firefighters have to ensure that
there are no flare-ups or hidden pockets of fire.
