After
the metal frame -- designed by Eugene Stacy -- is complete, Perry Hopman
(left) and Drew Nichols begin to slide the first deck boards into
place.
Stacy
(top) and Charles Watson load lumber to be lifted up to the
deck.
Hopman
makes quick work of demolishing a decorative wall where a window into the
living quarters will become a sliding door.
Nichols
begins the process of attaching the deck boards to the frame.
Using
a pencil as a spacer, Hopman, Stacy & Nichols lay out deck boards and
attach them to the frame.
When
you're not Bob Villa, you help out whenever you can. Like in this instance,
after someone had obviously called out, "Cossey, hold this
board."
It's
always important to maintain balance between work... and rest.
