| Baptist Health's MedFlight landed
in the field at Audubon and Club Manor Drives as part of a landing zone training
class for volunteer firefighters August 24, 2005. |
| |
 |
| The landing allowed volunteer
firefighters and members of the public to get an up-close look at the aircraft
as well as talk with MedFlight crew members. In the past year, MedFlight
has made a scene response to five incidents where Maumelle firefighters were
working. |

MedFlight operates only one helicopter
-- an Eurocopter AS350. The aircraft has room for one patient, a pilot and
a two-person medical crew. The helicopter is normally staffed with a flight
paramedic and flight nurse although some responses include a physician on
board. |
